GFL course webinar series hosted by the Utah State Board of Education. Check back in the fall for registration information.

GFL Methods Course

The GFL Methods of Teaching General Financial Literacy course is an online canvas course and is free to educators. The course is offered once in the spring and fall each year. Registration instructions are sent out on the GFL listserv.

Next Gen Certification Courses

This course is ONLY required for those working towards a GFL endorsement. If you have already earned the FULL GFL endorsement (associate & professional level), you do not need to take this course. However, we will be covering the newly revised strands & standards, so all GFL educators are welcome to take the course. Those working towards endorsement will receive first priority. Learn More...

On-Demand modules are NGPF's most flexible professional development opportunity. Conferences & In-person Training

$tart $mart Conference (June)

Each year, Utah Career and Technical Education (CTE) educators from across the state will participate in the Annual CTE Summer Conference. Educators will receive hands-on training, important teaching techniques and CTE initiatives that support high quality instruction. The $tart $mart Conference is usually held in June.

Women in Money Conference (September)

Women of all ages, cultures, and financial situations are invited to grow their financial capability together. This conference is hosted by the Utah State Treasurer as an initiative of the Utah Financial Empowerment Coalition. Conference is usually held in September.

 

Teacher Endorsement

In Utah the endorsement which is required to teach General Financial Literacy attaches to a Secondary License. To learn more about the General Financial Literacy endorsement requirements visit the USBE General Financial Literacy website.
