Sixth Grade Passport
Your student should complete this activity with adult involvement at
home or in your community.
- Have students track their spending for two weeks. After the two weeks, discuss items that were necessary and those that were not. Make a plan on how and what to spend for the following two weeks and discuss it again.
Supply and Demand:
- Help students identify an item they or the family uses that is in high demand. Discuss what would happen to the price of that item if there was a limited supply.
- As a family, decide on ways to become more productive. This could apply to chores, use of time,consumer choices, etc. Follow up with family members each week for a month to take notes on the changes being made.
